Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) attacks the immune system, our body’s defense against infection. About 40 millions worldwide are living with HIV infection. HIV infection cannot be cured yet, but treatment helps people live longer, healthier lives and prevent it for HIV to be passed on to others.
